Nigua Free Trade Zone takes advantage of proximity to the United States
The general manager of the Nigua Free Zone, Ebell Ahmed de Castro, highlighted the efforts being made to expand this industrial park managed by the Pioneer investment fund.
He said that currently 10 companies operating in this park produce mainly medical equipment, as well as parts for vehicles, juices, packaging materials and synthetic hair extensions.
He explains that nearshoring is an opportunity that the country is taking advantage of to export to the United States, as this is the closest destination. He says that negotiations are currently underway for the installation of 10 more companies in this industrial park and there are two that are in the process of doing so.
